Exciting Friday at the Hungaroring with 15 drivers covered by just one second, which promises excellent thrills for another action-packed weekend of Formula 3 action. Yesterday, the Euroformula Open drivers carried out four private test sessions yesterday with Briton Jake Dennis emerging fastest in his Drivex-entered Dallara F312. Dennis replaced Russia’s Nikita Troitskiy as the latter was unable to attend due to an exam-related absence. Dennis posted a best lap of 1:36.440, one tenth clear of Canadian Devlin DeFrancesco (Carlin). Series leader Harrison Scott (RP Motorsport) took third on the timesheets ahead of Ameya Vaidyanathan (Carlin) and Jannes Fittje (Fortec Motorsports).

Today, newcomer Hyman completed a lap of the Hungaroring in 1:37.023 in FP1. Behind, Scott was second fastest with his lap of 1:37.129 in the afternoon session but was still unable to beat Hyman’s effort. Petru Florescu (Fortec Motorsports) showed excellent pace with a third place (1:37.260) overall and quickest amongst rookie class ahead of Eliseo Martínez (Teo Martín Motorsport) and Christian Hahn (Drivex), they both making an impression at the Hungarian track.

Brazil´s Matheus Iorio (Campos Racing) took 6th place to beat Troitskiy. India´s Tarun Reddy lead the charge of Carlin in 8th place. Behind, German Fittje and DeFrancesco have rounded off the top-ten.
