Catching up with Euroformula Open rookie leader Nikita Troitskiy (Drivex)

Nikita Troitskiy is completing a solid Euroformula Open season as he has made three podium appearances with his Drivex-entered Dallara F312. Besides, he took command of the Rookie class at Paul Ricard. Ahead of the Hungarian venue, Troitskiy speaks his mind.

You took the Rookies classification lead at Circuit Paul Ricard and achieved a double second place finishes on French soil, how do you rate your last weekend and your season so far?

Our weekend at Paul Richard was good one! I had a good performance all through the weekend but obviously not enough to win

You have achieved two pole positions, several podiums and rookies’ class wins.  How you are working and training with your team in order to achieve your maiden overall race win?

Now we are working really hard together with the Drivex team to improve our performance. P1 is our goal right now

You made your debut in the Euroformula Open in 2016, joining the field at two events. In comparison with last year, what's difference this season? How do you feel you’ve changed and grown as a driver?

In comparison to 2016 now I feel stronger and more competitive. Obviously I already have more single-seater experience under my belt and particularly with the Formula 3 car. I hope improving even more

You are delivering a performance enhancement each weekend, so how are you preparing Hungaroring?

I´m preparing myself all the time and play sports on a daily basis. I will fight to take my first Euroformula Open race win of the season
