GT Sport doubles up GT Open and Euroformula web livestream offer with Italian version

Sportitalia and Motor Trend on Demand join list of broadcasters in enhanced TV coverage

GT Sport announced today major TV coverage developments for the International GT Open and the Euroformula Open ahead of the start of the 2017 season this weekend at Estoril. The improvements will also apply to the TC Open, the third GT Sport-promoted series to be launched at the next event in Spa.

First of all, GT Sport is doubling the web livestream offer of its series, adding an Italian language version to the existing English one. Motorsports specialist Antonio Caruccio will take care of commentaries in Italian, while Ben Evans will continue to be the English voice.

“Italy has always been a key market for us, in terms of entrants and followers”, explains Jesús Pareja, CEO of GT Sport, “and we are sure that numerous Italian race fans will enjoy following live all the action in their language.”

Enhancements in the TV coverage also regard traditional TV coverage.

Sportitalia, one of the most popular sports channels in Italy, available both in terrestrial and satellite, joins the list of broadcasters.

Another key addition is Motor Trend on demand, the well-known VOD website, with excellent coverage in the US, Europe, Canada and Mexico.

These two agreements add up to the list of broadcasters that are already faithful partners of the GT Open and the Euroformula and include BT Sport (UK), RTVE’s Teledeporte (Spain), Sport TV (Portugal and Africa), PolSat Sport TV (Poland), Poverkhnost Sport TV (Russia, CIS countries, Baltics and Georgia), DIGISPORT (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary), Sport TV (Turkey), Viasat Motor (Sweden and Norway), Zuku TV (Africa) and GearOne (Middle East & North Africa).

Other agreements, namely in the Americas, are close to finalization and will be announced shortly.
